You may remember a post I wrote a while ago entitled. Who sacked the Teapot? I loved writing it but didn’t have any really good photos to share along with the post. That same teapot, (as it reminds me of days gone by) made the journey safely to the Peak District with me and is hanging happily in a prime position for breakfast viewing.
I love finding new uses for things and this little teapot is certainly being appreciated in its new surroundings. I hope you enjoy the photos, maybe it will inspire you to hang your own lidless teapot in your garden giving it a new lease of life.

Oh…I love this, Alison! What a cute idea and the American Gold Finches seem to love it, too. I’m waiting for our AGF to return…I love them.

I think its a chaffinch Jill so probably similar to your AGF.

Yes I think your right, Im having to get to grips with all the different birds up here. There are lots of new ones that Im not used to seeing in the city.

Buy some bird books ( lots in charity shops by the way) and maybe invest in some binoculars. 🙂

It certainly would. You can buy something similar in garden centres but I like the fact that something I love is still being appreciated.

Thank you Lisa, I bought this tea pot when my 4 children were little and it has happy memories. I was really sad when the lid broke but am loving seeing it continue to be useful in a way that I can still enjoy it.

Alison, I love this! A perfect idea for a pretty redundant teapot and the birds love it! 😀 Do any overstay their welcome and get hustled out by other birds? You’ve inspired me to try new bird feeding stations – thank you so much for sharing and the photos are so sweet. x

On of the great tits seems to like just sitting in there and watching the world go by Annika, but they seem to share quite well. Even a nuthatch has been popping his head in😊

So glad you liked my teapot idea, the birds love it and if you put a good layer of seed in they like to sit and stay a while, I have actually thought they might nest in it .
