I was playing around with different settings on my camera and it came out pretty well. I need to write things down though as I forget what I have done. I need to look at whats going on in your part of the world.
Stunning photo Alison! 🙂
Depending on your camera you should be able to see the metadata (camera settings) if you look at the file properties of the photograph.
Thanks for the advice Darren. Im sure my camera would let me do that but I hadnt thought of that! I was wondering if I should get a new camera but I think its the photographer that needs a little tweaking. I loved this photo though.
People say that it is the photographer, not the camera, I agree. But – having the right camera that is enjoyable to use makes a huge difference in your motivation to actually go out and shoot. I say this only partly because I am trying to justify a new camera purchase…
It’s a Canon SX60. There is a lot I don’t know and trying to get myself to stop being lazy and start to use different settings. There is so much beauty to photograph round here.
Good camera. Also use Canon – a decade old 1000D, and actually lower spec than yours. Most of my work is done in aperture priority so I can control depth of field. I don’t know if yours allows this. I am considering buying a used pro-level camera from MPB.com and starting a new learning curve😄
Charming bee! I wish him well.

We see a few little guys looking for a last minute feed. I always feel I should be helping them more.

Haven’t used mine for ages. Almost forgotten how too. Maybe a winter challenge. A photo a day.
