“There’s no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.” – Jill Churchill
Mums are wise and are good at knowing what to say.Mums are steadfast, always there, even if it’s just to sit by our sides and let us know that everything is ok.Mums are caregivers, teaching us to drink from many different waters.Mums are patient beyond measure.Mums are vigilant, and have eyes in the back of their heads!Mums are like hot water bottles, warm and cosy.I LOVE YOU MUM!!
Motherhood is the greatest thing and the hardest thing.” – Ricki Lake
“A mom’s hug lasts long after she let’s go.” – Unknown
Happy Mothers Day to all you great Mums outs there!
Thankyou Keith. Yes they certainly leave a gap that isnt easily filled. Ive been blessed today with a card from my daughter, flowers arriving from one son then another son turning up at the door with flowers and a card from Simon. I really felt loved and thankful for a lovely family.
Thankyou Joni, yes I thought yours was later. I cant resist the sight of the sheep when they have lambs beside them, its such a lovely time of year and certainly heralds the start of spring for me. The daffodils are starting to come out and the country lanes are looking very pretty.
Thankyou Laura, I do love the sheep and their young at this time of year although most of the photos were from my last years wanderings. Hope your continuing to feel stonger x
Awww… Alison, a beautiful post for Mother’s Day and all days! I adore the images, love lambs and two superb quotes! The first one touches me particularly as my son has been away so much this year at university and I’ve not been able to see him – soooo hard!
Yes its been a difficult year all round Annika, Im sure you have missed him. Things seem to be turning around a bit here at last though so lets keep hoping for better times ahead. I love the lambs at this time of year, they fill me with delight and I constantly want to stop and watch them when Im driving or walking around. x
Alison, I love your last two quotes. I miss our two mums. Keith

It is heartening how things are so much more positive in the UK – it’s been a long haul! I’m hoping to see my son in May – can’t wait!
