A CHRISTMOUSE TALE JOURNEY.

A few Christmases ago I posted a poem on my blog that I had written for Arlo, my first grandchild. He loved the poem, and the book I made him that Christmas has been kept safely in his Christmas book bag and brought out each year.

At the beginning of 2022 I decided to look for an illustrator and start the journey of self publishing my poem. My search led me to ‘Rosie Young’ a lovely illustrator from Wirksworth in Derbyshire and that journey began.

Its been fun, interesting and I have learned a lot. I have also made a new friend as Rosie and I have had many conversations around the poem and illustrations, until finally it was complete and time to go to print.

It is at the moment available from me at a price of £7.99 + postage. Do email me on my contact page if you would like a copy. I can send them from 18th November.

I now have 3 grandchildren and they will defintely all be getting one in their stockings this year., although Arlo did say he didnt need one as he has the original 🙂

Love Alison x

  2. Alison, what an accomplishment, I’m sure your grandchildren will cherish it and give to their children, what a beautiful family heirloom.
I watched the video twice, what an enchanting book.

    1. Thanks Lauren. Its certainly kept me busy through the year. Just need to work out a platform for selling it as it seemed expensive to advertise it on here officially and still trying to get my head round selling on amazon. For now its for sale in a couple of village shops in the Peak district. A rather lovely feeling seeing it in a shop window. The plan had mainly been to do it for my grandchildren so that has been an acheivement in itself.
