Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit my blog cafe. Lets call it ‘Cafe D’Ali’. Do feel free to relax, grab a coffee and a piece of cake, and have a mosey through my thoughts and photos. Hopefully you will leave feeling a little more relaxed and want to return again soon.
I’m Alison. My life started in Sussex as the little red-head In the picture. I grew up clambering down disused railway banks peppered with primroses, wading through streams that would at times overflow into my wellies, collecting conkers and hunting endlessly for that rare white bell among a sea of blue. I’m not sure if I ever found one but the memory of searching is a good one.
Falling in love with my childhood sweetheart and 4 children later life somehow ended in the Midlands, sadly in more ways than one. With a lot of years as a single mum, caring for a child with special needs, and looking after my own mum now behind me, I am enjoying having the time to wake up and ‘smell the coffee’ and share a little of it with you.
I am still at heart the girl who loved going out in her wellies but just a little older and wiser, with a camera by my side, a pen in my pocket, and a ‘Blog cafe’ to run.
Once again thank you for coming to ‘Cafe D’Ali’, don’t forget your coat on the way out! and please feel free to comment. I write with the hope that my thoughts will touch others and that the aroma of a cup of freshly brewed coffee will entice you back for another visit.
Love Alison x
