There's a bite in the air,
and morning fields silently lay,
beneath a blanket of silver dust.
I open the window,
and let the cool, fresh autumn scent
into a sleepy room.
The world is changing.
The soothing green landscape is fading,
as nature lets go of her summer attire.
Its a time for renewal, a time for rest
As trees lose their sap,
and leaves change their hue.
Nature shuts down, but my senses awaken.
I smell its perfume, I see its beauty.
I feel its cool voice against my skin.
Its the start of my favourite season.
The crisp, fresh, crunchy, colourful
invigorating season,
Autumn!

True poem Alison. You would think that when nature shuts down it would be more of a sad funeral than an explosion of colours and sweet smells.

You would Len. We get the benefits while nature rests.
